Warning: This page contains spoilers for the June 4, 2025, first game of Jeopardy! Masters — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. It will be updated alongside the Eastern Time airing of the show, beginning at about 8:00 PM Eastern.

This game’s Jeopardy! Masters contestants:

Juveria Zaheer, a psychiatrist from Whitby, Ontario, Canada (9-8, 0 points)
Juveria Zaheer on Jeopardy!
Isaac Hirsch, a customer support team lead from Burbank, California (13-10, 0 points)
Isaac Hirsch on Jeopardy!
Victoria Groce, a writer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (18-6, 6 points)
Victoria Groce on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

The initial game of our two-hour finale tonight features our third of four matches in the round robin semifinal, as Victoria Groce, Isaac Hirsch, and Juveria Zaheer take part. Victoria has already booked her ticket to the final, but can ensure first podium in the final by finishing either first or second in this game. The Unified Prediction Model gives Victoria a 45.6% chance, to Juveria’s 30.0% chance and Isaac’s 24.4% chance.

What is more intriguing is the battle between Juveria and Isaac for what is likely the third spot in the final—as things stand now, Isaac has 11 correct responses in the semifinals to Juveria’s 9; I’ll be watching how that shakes down as today’s episode plays out.

If Victoria wins this game then Yogesh is basically guaranteed to be in the finals. Yogesh is Victoria’s strongest competition, so it seems that Victoria has incentive to not win this game because then Yogesh could possibly be eliminated in the second game.

  2. Raul Miller | June 4, 2025 at 8:04 pm |

    Rooting for Yogesh

  3. Andy, you have a typo [just an accidently un-typed letter] in the Final Jeopardy clue. I says “hoage” instead of “homage”.

    • LOL, then I had one — apparently didn’t tap the “t” key hard enough in “It says”.
