Today’s Final Jeopardy – Thursday, June 18, 2026

Warning: This page contains spoilers for the June 18, 2026, game of Jeopardy! — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. Please note that the game airs as early as noon Eastern in some U.S. television markets.

Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Around The World) for Thursday, June 18, 2026 (Season 42, Game 204):

The only places in mainland Africa where the Euro is official currency are in territories of this nation

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Tyler Stevenson, a special education teacher from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Tyler Stevenson on Jeopardy!
Nora Inman, a policy analyst from Louisville, Kentucky
Nora Inman on Jeopardy!
Adam Remsen, an attorney & theater producer from Memphis, Tennessee (4-day total: $72,601)
Adam Rensen on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Just a bit less than two weeks ago, Peter McFerrin was successful in his attempt to become the 294th 5-time champion since Jeopardy! returned to North American airwaves in 1984. Today, Adam Remsen looks to become the 295th. (Do I think we’ll get to 300 before GTA VI? With the number of times GTA VI has been delayed, it wouldn’t surprise me…) In any case, our challengers today are Nora Inman of Louisville, Kentucky, and Tyler Stevenson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, both of whom I’m sure would greatly prefer to keep that count at 294. Also at stake for Adam today is a guaranteed spot in the 34th Tournament of Champions, although at the present time it does look like his fourth win yesterday just about did guarantee that spot already.

Meanwhile, as I alluded to last week (and was met with someone incorrectly trying to correct me, as if I hadn’t looked up the TV listings before I made my statements), Round 2 coverage of the US Open on NBC is going to be preempting the show if you watch on an NBC affiliate at 7:00 Eastern or earlier. Check your local listings or Matt Carberry’s Google sheet for the rescheduled time. A number of markets will be airing the show at 1 PM Eastern tomorrow, immediately prior to the start of golf coverage at 1:30 PM Eastern.

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2026 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

Today’s Final Jeopardy hinges on a pair of Spanish exclaves bordering Morocco: Ceuta and Melilla. On the northern coast of the African continent, the autonomous cities are the only European-held territories on mainland Africa and thus are the only spots on mainland Africa where the Euro is the official currency. While Morocco does also lay claim to both cities, such claims generally do not receive international recognition.

I personally tend to do better in geography compared to the average contestant; while I got this clue correct, I’d be hard-pressed to predict how well the players will do. African geography often plays more difficult.

Game Recap:

Adam Remsen found both Daily Doubles early in Double Jeopardy, and four $2,000 correct responses on the second board also proved crucial for him as he held off a late charge from Tyler Stevenson in the Double Jeopardy! Round and took a runaway lead into Final Jeopardy.

Adam then put the exclamation point on this one by being the only player correct on the 61st clue; while he didn’t get to six figures, he’ll get that opportunity tomorrow.

Scores going into Final:

Adam $26,200
Tyler $12,000
Nora $7,400

Tonight’s results:

Nora $7,400 – $4,600 = $2,800 (What is… England)
Tyler $12,000 – $2,801 = $9,199 (What is Morocco?)
Adam $26,200 + $800 = $27,000 (What is Spain?) (5-day total: $99,601)

Andy’s Thoughts:

  • It felt obvious to me that Tyler feels very passionate about his friends in the community and I’m glad for his sake that he got the opportunity to talk about it in his interview today. Also, with 20 correct against a ToCer, I feel like Tyler is definitely on the longlist for Second Chance consideration.
  • Today’s J!6 clues can be found at the monthly archive.

Final Jeopardy! wagering suggestions:

(Scores: Adam $26,200 Tyler $12,000 Nora $7,400)

Adam: Bet no more than $2,199 and enjoy that ToC spot! (Actual bet: $800)

Nora: Bet at least $1,800, but you might as well go all in to force Tyler to get the math right on the cover bet in the battle for second. (Actual bet: $4,600)

Tyler: You’re playing for second here. Bet $2,801 to cover Nora. (Actual bet: $2,801)
