More information about Final Jeopardy:

William Golding’s 1954 novel Lord of the Flies was the debut work from Golding, who was teaching at Bishop Wordsworth’s School. It was said that the characters in the novel were based on some of the students he observed while teaching. The dystopian Flies is an allegory, written about a group of schoolboys marooned on an island as a way of displaying the savageness of mankind.

Lest he be described as a one-hit wonder, in the 1980s, Golding went on to win a Man Booker Prize in 1980 for Rites of Passage, and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1983.

Since Alex Trebek’s diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer, many community members have been raising money. The Jeopardy! Fan Online Store is as well! All proceeds from any “Keep The Faith And We’ll Win” shirt sold will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. To date, over $370 has been raised.)
