Warning: This page contains spoilers for the April 15, 2026, game of Jeopardy! — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. Please note that the game airs as early as noon Eastern in some U.S. television markets.

Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Notable Americans) for Wednesday, April 15, 2026 (Season 42, Game 158):

In 1909 she joined the Socialist Party & later published “Out of the Dark”, her writings “on physical & social vision”

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Bill Page, a volunteer docent from Morton Grove, Illinois
Bill Page on Jeopardy!
Kim Elliott, a writer from Sunnyvale, California
Kim Elliott on Jeopardy!
Jamie Ding, a bureaucrat & law student from Lawrenceville, New Jersey (23-day total: $644,000)
Jamie Ding on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

While Jamie Ding is still over $100,000 away from Cris Pannullo’s regular-play total (and thus both the New Jersey regular-play record and 5th place on the all-time list in terms of regular play winnings), Jamie has cracked the Top 5 in just about every other all-time regular-play category at this point, tied with Mattea Roach for 5th in wins and now is only behind the top 4 of Ken Jennings, Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, and James Holzhauer. Today, he is in search of fifth place by himself on the all-time regular-play wins list, aiming to get win #24 against Kim Elliott and Bill Page.

I should point out that I am going to be making slightly further tweaks to the Unified Prediction Model following today’s game, specifically when it comes to modeling challengers, from both a predictive and a “strength of schedule” perspective. It has become clear—as evidenced by the lower attempt totals in general over the past few years—that Jeopardy! clue material is getting more difficult, as the show aims to combat the increase in studying for quizzing that the top players in North America routinely do at this point, and my prediction models need to account for the change in that paradigm. These changes would generally add about 5-6% to Jamie’s win chances each game.

Correct response: Who is Helen Keller?

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2026 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

Helen Keller became famous in the late 19th century after learning to communicate despite losing her sight and her hearing at the age of 19 months; she later became the first deafblind person in the United States to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. Later, she became a noted social activist, as poverty often results from disability. The stage play and film The Miracle Worker (referring to her teacher Annie Sullivan) were based upon her life.

As long as a contestant doesn’t overthink this, this should be a relatively straightforward path directly to one of Alabama’s two statuary representatives at the United States Capitol.
