Quick Recap – December 3, 2015

Today’s contestants:

Kelly Wright, a cataloging specialist from Rocky Ridge, MD
Jarrett Cabell, an actuary from Schaumberg, IL
Joyce Hshieh, an actress and writer from Chicago, IL (3-day champ, $39,403)

What is up with things this week? Were the writers still in ToC mode? Like seriously, it’s been awhile since the scores have been this low this consistently!

Scores going into Final Jeopardy!:
Kelly $4,200
Jarrett $3,000
Joyce $800

Final Jeopardy! category: SONGS FROM MUSICALS

Final Jeopardy! clue: This song from a Rodgers & Hammerstein musical was once simply titled “First Singing Lesson”

Joyce 800 + 800 = 1600
Jarrett 3000 – 1201 = 1799 (A Spoonful of Sugar)
Kelly 4200 + 2500 = 6700

On the flip side, when the scores are this low, EVERY DOLLAR MATTERS when it comes to your Final Jeopardy! bet. Both Jarrett and Kelly over-wagered for the situation – a fact I find disappointing, considering that Jarrett was introduced as an actuary! I don’t think I want to know what insurance company he works for! (Yes, I do know about Bob Blake’s accidental Clavin on the show many moons ago)
