Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Around The World) for November 1-2, 2025 (Season 41, Game 153):

An online article about this landmark said, “The stones themselves look like they are crying” & mentioned “tears of…pain, hope & joy”

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

The Carousel of ToCers from last spring continues in our weekend reruns this week. As things stand now in Jeopardy! Airing Time, Mike Dawson is on the precipice of mathematically qualifying for the Tournament of Champions, after having spent most of 2025 on the bubble. In this game, his attempt at a fourth win, he takes on Wisconsin’s Courtney Martin and Mississippi’s Andrew Hayes.

One of the holiest sites in Judaism, the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem (also known as the Western Wall) is an ancient retaining wall of the Temple Mount in that city. This was certainly a very topical Final Jeopardy when it aired back in April, as this episode originally aired at the start of Passover season.

In case anyone is wondering, the “online article” cited in this Final was from Chabad.org.

Game Recap:

Mike got off to the best start and did have an opportunity to snatch even more momentum when he found the first Daily Double. Unfortunately, an incorrect response dropped his score back $0 and he could never get going again. While Andrew did lead after 30, it was Double Jeopardy where he came alive, picking up 15 correct responses, 8 of which at the $1600 and $2000 levels of the board, and didn’t even need to be aggressive on either Daily Double to come into Clue #61 with a very dominant runaway. Final Jeopardy saw him be very happy with his score entering the round of $25,200; you had a feeling that we might be seeing a ToCer in our midst after this one.

Scores going into Final:

Andrew $25,200
Courtney $4,200
Mike $2,400

Tonight’s results:

Mike $2,400 – $2,398 = $2 (What is the MLK)
Courtney $4,200 + $601 = $4,801 (What is the wailing wall?)
Andrew $25,200 – $0 = $25,200 (What is Mt. Rushmore) (1-day total: $25,200)

Andrew Hayes, today's Jeopardy! winner (for the November 1-2, 2025 game.)
