Who is Joe Biden?

Sarah 4800 – 4800 = 0 + 22001 = 22001 (Obama) ($25,000)
Sam 8600 + 8600 = 17200 + 22000 = 39200 (Biden) ($100,000)
Niki 16400 – 3350 = 13050 + 18600 = 31650 (Byrd) ($50,000)

Another great Final Jeopardy, worthy of a tournament final in my opinion.

I think Niki might have underbet, just worrying about Sarah, forgetting that Sam might overtake her. Being very sick will do that! But congratulations to Sam, tournament champion!

Niki should have bet $4,201 and if she had been right, that would have made her 2-day total $39,201

  2. Three impressive contestants in the College Jeopardy 2016 were fun to watch. Great games!

  3. I was hoping to have the chance to communicate two final thoughts on this championship to some of the contestants on Live Panel – but absent that, I’ll leave them here.

    * The 15 teachers and 15 teens that TPTB will assemble for airing later this season have their work cut out for them to match the quality of what we saw over these first two weeks of February.

    * These players exerted such a positive impact on all those of us who truly love this game. Despite all the vitriol directed at them from other corners, I hope we had but a small fraction of that impact on their lives. All the best to all of them – not least to Sam in the ToC.
