What is (railroad) engineer?
Jonathan Luther “Casey” Jones was an engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad who became legendary on April 30, 1900, when his train collided with a stalled freight train in Mississippi; the only fatality was Jones, who had stayed at his post to slow down the train as best as he could; he was lauded as a hero due to zero passenger fatalities. As he grew up near Cayce, Kentucky, he earned the nickname “Cayce”, which he spelled “Casey”.

I guessed baseball manager.
I thought someone might guess that. Charles “Casey” Stengel’s nickname comes from his hometown of Kansas City.
Knew who it was referring to but guessed train conductor – guess I should have paid a little closer attention to the story.
This might be one of the lowest 3-day totals, adjusted for double clue values.
Since February 27, 2013 – that is, the current ToC cycle and the previous two – there have only been two lower ones: Dava-Leigh Brush ($31,601) and Dylan Parson ($29,799). Both lost their fourth games; in Dylan’s case, to Matt Jackson.
Kristin Morgan’s 3-day total in 2013 was $17,498, less than half Nan’s.
In early 2001, before clue values were doubled, Sid Moore, Jr. was a three-time champion with just $5,199.
What was the guitar piece by the composer born in 1860 in Spain?
Isaac Albéniz — the work is Suite española, o p.47
