More information about Final Jeopardy:
The story appeared in the Los Angeles Times.
The Ford Edsel, in the 1950s, was one of the most notorious flops in automotive history, so much so that it has become a synonym for an epic fail in some circles. It became so unacceptable to drive one that the owners of them were mocked for driving them.
However, the brand got the last laugh: a 1960 Ranger-series Edsel convertible sold in a November 2006 auction for $184,000.

After seeing the clue and reading it twice I guessed it would be the Edsel.
I went searching for verification and had also found that LA Times article. I don’t know if I needed to read about the “Donald Trump-like comeback” that the article mentioned. 🙂
That term certainly had a different meaning in 2007 compared to 2018.
Not surprised Marty was the only one to get FJ…Lindsey and Dom seem too young to have heard many Edsel jokes…a pop culture reference you really don’t hear much anymore.
I really only know it from its mention in We Didn’t Start the Fire.
Rather unusual wagers by Marty and Lindsey, but it did not matter in the end, since Marty was the only one who got FJ right.
Did you catch the answer for the third fedora question?
What is the “holodeck”? Good question too, I have no idea.
It’s a Star Trek The Next Generation question, though Alex said Picard’s name wrong (sounded like he left off the “D” and said “Pekar”)
Help. I just signed up for the March online test. The problem is that I got an email confirming that I am signed up, but I was not given an actual date. Will I be able to choose a date or will a date be assigned to me? Thanks for any help.
You’ll be able to choose a date. Just sign on 30-45 minutes before test time on the day you want to write the test.
Thank you.
Three Triple Stumpers. Don’t see that few very often…
What actor did Marty say he looked like?
He said Dr. Phil, but I think he looks more like Louis C.K.
Agree, I also think he looks like Louis C.K.
Trebek is French Canadian, and a Frenchman would pronounce Picard with a silent “D.”
