More information about Final Jeopardy:
The albatross is a large seabird, with its name coming from “albus”, the Latin for “white”. The bird is famously shot in Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, and in the world of golf, it’s the bird used to describe the rare 3-under-par on a single golf hole.

This was easy for me as I love birds and I love golf. One of my neighbors shot a 2 on a par 5 golf hole.
Golf’s albatross is also known as a double eagle, which never made sense to me, an eagle being 2 under par on a hole. 3 ain’t 2 doubled. 🏌️♂️
True—but “birdie” and “eagle” make no sense either. So it’s hard to quibble with the “doubling” of something illogical to begin with…
Each of the last three episodes this week, I can’t help but laugh at Jessica’s name—a redhead named “Jessica Babbitt”. I’d love to hear about whether that’s her married name or maiden name, and how much she considered using the other when she got married. (Also, how often people ask her if her husband is named “Roger”…)
And again a Latin related FJ! clue!
Have a great and safe weekend, everybody!
Had five Triple Stumpers before the first break! Holzhauer wouldn’t have missed any of them. Andy must’ve finally gotten a date. Try to talk about something other than trivia, or you might scare her (?) off : -)
Andy is in hospital with pancreatitis and will update when he can.
Was Jeopardy wrong on the Pele Question? He’s Brazilian and not Portuguese.
They speak Portuguese in Brazil.
Andy, hope you are doing better – please get well soon!
