Ang Lee’s two wins were for Brokeback Mountain and Life of Pi, while Alfonso Cuarón won for Gravity and Roma. None of those four films won Best Picture. Alejandro González Iñárritu also has two Best Director nods (for Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) and The Revenant), but Birdman is a Best Picture winner.
