The July 6, 1957 meeting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, the two main songwriters of The Beatles, took place at St Peter’s Church in Woolton, Liverpool, England. Lennon was a member of the Quarrymen skiffle group at the time. The group’s bassist, Ivan Vaughan, was classmates with McCartney and introduced the two. McCartney showed Lennon how to tune a guitar and Lennon was quickly impressed.

I was born in 1960, raised on Beatles music. I got today’s final with only one second thought.

  2. Andy,
I would imagine it’s happened before but pretty rare: an FJ triple stumper where all three contestants give the same answer – any stats?

    • Michael Johnston | January 1, 2022 at 9:38 am |

I thought that was unusual as well.
I had no clue, so I closed the week, month and year out with a two-game losing streak ;p Glad to see Amy doing better, first response time up, no incorrect responses in regular play and a cromulent FJ wager that just happened to not work out this time.
