Weekend Jeopardy! Recap – April 18 & 19, 2026

Warning: This page contains spoilers for the April 18-19, 2026, game of Jeopardy! — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. Please note that today’s game is an encore presentation of the game that originally aired on December 18, 2024.

Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Anthems) for April 18-19, 2026 (Season 41, Game 73):

The unofficial anthem of this U.K. territory mentions kelp, penguins & “the wind from the Horn”

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Eric Weldon-Schilling, a bar manager & sommelier from Houston, Texas
Eric Weldon-Schilling on Jeopardy!
Sarah Rosenthal, a fundraiser from New York, New York
Sarah Rosenthal on Jeopardy!
Ashley Chan, a publicist from Lewisville, Texas (4-day total: $67,400)
Ashley Chan on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

This weekend’s encore presentation will be featuring Ashley Chan’s attempt to pick up victory number five against Eric Weldon-Schilling and Sarah Rosenthal. One thing I definitely noted in the lead-up to the original airing of this game was that Eric was posting about his appearance in many different Jeopardy! spaces, and as it turns out, it was because Eric was more than just happy about his upcoming appearance.

“Song of the Falklands”, composed by schoolteacher Christopher Lanham, is the unofficial anthem of the Falkland Islands. The requisite parts of the song referred to in this game’s Final Jeopardy clue: “In my heart there’s a call for the isles far away / Where the wind from the Horn often wanders at play. / Where the kelp moves and swells to the wind and the tide / And penguins troop down from the lonely hillside.”

Game Recap:

Eric Weldon-Schilling went 4/5 in Before & After and 3/5 in 3 other categories in order to cement a runaway victory as Ashley never really got on track after missing the Daily Double on the game’s opening clue. Eric’s score of nearly $20,000 entering Final was also impressive if you consider that none of the game’s three Daily Doubles were responded to correctly.

Final Jeopardy saw all of our players move to 1-for-2 in performance on the game’s major clues, though, as this game saw a triple-get Final. Eric will return in next week’s encore presentation, facing off against Neal Bowling and a name you might recognize in Laura Faddah.

Scores going into Final:

Eric $19,600
Sarah $8,400
Ashley $2,400

Tonight’s results:

Ashley $2,400 + $0 = $2,400 (What are the Falklands?)
Sarah $8,400 + $3,000 = $11,400 (What are the Falkland Islands?)
Eric $19,600 + $1,400 = $21,000 (What is Falkland Islands?) (1-day total: $21,000)

Eric Weldon-Schilling, today's Jeopardy! winner (for the April 18–19, 2026 game.)
