In his very first appearance by name, this character comes downstairs “bump-bump-bump on the back of his head”
(correct response beneath the contestants)
Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:
Herb Jeong, a retired pension administrator from San Francisco, California
|
Megan Riddell, a human resources data analyst from Linthicum, Maryland
|

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
When this game originally aired in December 2024, whoever won got to wait for a couple of months before their next game got to air. In weekend encore presentation season, though, next weekend’s game will immediately follow this weekend’s game in the regular play chronology. In this weekend’s matchup, Laura Faddah goes for win #7 against Megan Riddell and Herb Jeong.

“Here is Edward Bear, coming down the stairs now, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head, behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming downstairs, but sometimes he feels that there really is another way, if only he could stop bumping for a moment and think of it. And then he feels that perhaps there isn’t. Anyhow, here he is at the bottom, and ready to be introduced to you. Winnie-the-Pooh.” So goes the opening paragraph of A. A. Milne’s much-beloved Winnie The Pooh.

Looking to find out who won Jeopardy! today? Here’s the June 6-7, 2026 Jeopardy! by the numbers, along with a recap:
Game Recap:
Things went quite well for Laura Faddah, at least comparatively against her two opponents in this one. She picked up 4 correct in minor league baseball team geography, cruising to a runaway despite a Daily Double miss of her own. (As it was, Megan and Herb both missed Daily Doubles themselves.)
In Final Jeopardy, Megan was the only player correct, but being in a double-runaway third place, she was unable to take advantage. (Though had she gotten her Daily Double correct, she would have been just inside of 50% of Laura’s score entering Final). As it was, Laura Faddah picked up win #7 and a two-month wait in original airing time before game #8.
Scores going into Final:
Laura $10,000
Herb $3,200
Megan $1,400
Tonight’s results:
Megan $1,400 + $52 = $1,452 (Who is Winnie the Pooh?)
Herb $3,200 – $0 = $3,200 (Who is Winnie T The Velveteen Rabbit?)
Laura $10,000 – $2,000 = $8,000 (Who is ?) (7-day total: $87,400)

Game Stats:
Laura $11,800 Coryat, 18 correct, 5 incorrect, 37.04% in first on buzzer (20/54), 2/2 on rebound attempts (on 5 rebound opportunities)
Herb $5,200 Coryat, 9 correct, 3 incorrect, 16.67% in first on buzzer (9/54), 2/2 on rebound attempts (on 7 rebound opportunities)
Megan $3,400 Coryat, 10 correct, 4 incorrect, 22.22% in first on buzzer (12/54), 1/1 on rebound attempts (on 6 rebound opportunities)
Combined Coryat Score: $20,400
