Yesterday’s game brought forth a number of commenters out of the woodwork. A number of them were against my comment policy and were not approved; some of them made me wonder why I even allow comments in the first place!
Meanwhile, Day 2 of online testing is tonight: Tonight’s test is at 8:00 PM Central (9 PM Eastern)
Oh well, on with the game!
Today’s contestants:
Bianca Hegedus, a financial analyst from Huntingdon Valley, PA![]() |
Colin West, a graduate student in physics from Port Jefferson, NY![]() |
Fred Vaughn, an Internet operations technician from Mineral Point, WI (3-day total: $49,600)![]() |
Scores going into Final Jeopardy:
Colin $11,200
Fred $10,600
Bianca $7,000
Final Jeopardy! category: THE EMMYS
Final Jeopardy! clue: It’s the first show nominated for both Outstanding Comedy Series (2014) & Outstanding Drama Series (2015)
What is “Orange Is The New Black”?
Bianca 7000 + 4201 = 11201
Fred 10600 + 5500 = 16100 (4-day total: $65,700)
Colin 11200 – 10200 = 1000 (Veep)
As it turns out, this change-of-categories was caused by a recent Emmys rules change, limiting Outstanding Comedy Series nominees to being 30 minutes in length or less! Makes it slightly less cool/impressive in my opinion than, say, Ed Asner winning for Lou Grant in a comedy and a drama, but whatever!
In any case, we’ve got our first four-day champion since Matt Jackson! One “streak of futility” is over!

Log in for each test opens one hour beforehand. Don’t worry, you still have time!
a correct response today wich was “E- P” to spell “adept” was ruled incorrect!
No, “adept” was the correct response. “E-P” was not.
They should have given Fred Adept. They did not explain the how to answer well enough and that was the first one in the category. Fred got it right!!
