If you haven’t watched Sports Jeopardy! in awhile, you’ll notice the biggest thing: Champions come back until they lose!
Today’s contestants:
Jordan Honan, a grocery retail specialist from Raleigh, NC![]() |
Aaron Smiley, an athletics coordinator from Jacksonville, FL![]() |
Vinny Varadarajan, an engineering graduate from Fords, NJ 9-day total: $45,000![]() |
Some other interesting things: They have the contestants sit in the audience and get called down! I liked Jordan’s reaction!
Vinny got 2 of the game’s three Daily Doubles, and made the most of them! While I can’t speak from personal experience, it’s so difficult going up against a superchamp like Vinny on the buzzer!
I was quite impressed with Jordan picking up a significant amount of the game’s CanCon, including a clue about the 1994 Expos!
Scores going into Final Sports Jeopardy:
Vinny 25,500
Jordan 8,250
Aaron 4,500
Final Sports Jeopardy! category: BASEBALL TEAMS
Final Sports Jeopardy! clue: With a .501 winning %age since 1961, they’re the only one of MLB’s 14 expansion franchises with a winning percentage
Who are the Los Angeles Angels?
Aaron 4500 – 4499 = 1 (Miami Marlins)
Jordan 8250 – 751 = 7499 (Arizona Diamondbacks)
Vinny 2500 – 405 = 25905 (the freeway I got stuck on today I really hate!)
So Vinny has won his 10th; will he win #11 next Wednesday?
