|Soumia Meiyappan, a research associate from Brampton, ON
||Ted Dorsey, an author and educator from Los Angeles, CA
||Rachel Zoch, a writer and editor from Deer Park, TX (2-day total: $17,500)
Scores going into Final Jeopardy:
Final Jeopardy! category: AMERICAN HISTORY
Final Jeopardy! clue: In the 1690s its legislature referred to this place as “His Majesty’s Ancient Colony and Dominion”
What is Virginia?
Ted 10000 – 2615 = 7385 (Massachusetts)
Rachel 12600 + 12599 = 25199 (3-day total: $42,699)
Soumia 12600 – 12600 = 0 (Jamestown)
This Final is probably significantly easier for an American to get than a Canadian. (For the record: I said Georgia because I didn’t feel like picking a Carolina. Which, in hindsight, seems to me a pretty terrible guess. Being that Georgia apparently wasn’t even founded until 1733.)
Meanwhile: Rachel is the first person to misread what to do in a tie game since the triple-zero game in January. I am very disappointed with her choice of bet.
