From In the Shadow of the Moon: A Challenging Journey to Tranquility, 1965-1969:

As Armstrong has said many times in recent years in public speeches, “Pilots take no special joy in walking: pilots like flying. Pilots generally take pride in a good landing, not in getting out of the vehicle.” The line generally gets a big laugh, but it is accurate, and also underscores an important point. Aldrin and Armstrong landed together, working as a team, and the achievement belongs to them both.

In any case, this is Hunter’s third win, and you’ll find him on our ToC list in the morning!
