Obviously the film was “Amadeus”, based on the Peter Shaffer 1980 play. There was a legend as well that Salieri tried to poison Mozart; that legend was the basis of a Rimsky-Korsakov opera (“Mozart et Salieri”).
Interestingly, though, Mozart’s father Leopold, when Wolfgang was still a youth, gained a rather large distrust of the royal court of Joseph II in Vienna after Mozart’s opera “La Finta Semplice” was cancelled, without reimbursement! (Salieri Online)
Back to the film, though, F. Murray Abraham played Salieri in “Amadeus”; he won the Oscar for Best Actor for that portrayal. Interestingly, that is the most recent occurrence of two actors in the same film receiving Best Actor nominations for their roles in that film.

It was a repeat tonight!!!! Not those contestants – what gives??
Contact your local TV station. Sounds like your local station played the wrong episode.
Alex made a stupid statement at the beginning. He read the category as “3 letter words having ONLY 2 vowels” OK, Alex-any more and the word would be all vowels!
Teri:
It’s not as stupid as you think. “eau” is Scrabble-playable in English and is a 3-letter word with three vowels.
