  2. Did Alex Trebek mention the Teen Tournament?

  3. Harriet Geller | November 8, 2016 at 12:19 pm |

This game was actually aired on Monday 11/7/16, in NYC anyway. I was surprised to hear Alex Urging us to vote “today,” and this final Jeopardy question is in today’s (11/8) NY Times. What happened?

    • Andy Saunders | November 8, 2016 at 12:31 pm |

Because Jeopardy! is being preempted tonight in New York City during election coverage, it is quite possible that they were lobbied by Allon to air his episode locally instead (Allon being from Brooklyn).

  4. I didn’t lobby for it, but it was nice of them to play it anyway.

    • Andy Saunders | November 8, 2016 at 5:05 pm |

Thanks for stopping by and clarifying! (I am aware of contestants in the past having done so with their local affiliates, which is why I jumped to that conclusion in the first place.)

  5. Looking past the Teen Tournament, a notable data point (and one I’d love if you could confirm) that I noticed during the hiatus: when Stephanie defends on November 23, it’ll be in the 6,000th regular-play game of the syndicated Jeopardy! era.

    • Disregard, sort of. 5,952 regular games through the first 32 seasons, which would put the 6,000th on December 2.

      • Andy Saunders | November 9, 2016 at 1:59 pm |

You’re correct in that 5,952 was the total at the end of Season 32.

However, that would make the 6,000th regular game on November 30, not December 2.
