Who is Gary Powers?
After being shot down over Russia, the Russian capture of U-2 pilot Gary Powers on a recon mission triggered a major international incident in 1960. As an American spy, he was traded for Russian spy Rudoph Abel in 1962 at the Glienicke Bridge that connects Berlin to Potsdam.
Powers’ transfer for Abel ended up being the plot line for the 2015 Steven Spielberg film Bridge of Spies (Glienicke Bridge being the title bridge in that film).

Oh, that’s what “Bridge of Spies” is about! Thank you for the extra insight about the clue as I had no idea about the movie connection. I was fortunate to solve it off the history angle without the Best Picture nominee help. For the low percentage of people that saw the film the clue becomes a lot easier.
Quite a haul for 2 days!!
She’s going to be very difficult to beat.
Could someone kindly tell me the clue to Natasha’s missed MLB answer today? Was it something like another expression for a batters’s sweet spot … ?
The part of a vessel shown or an area of the strike zone where a batter hits the ball best.

Thank you so much! And what was the answer/question?
What is “wheelhouse”?
Damn! Have the movie recorded on my DVR but haven’t watched it. Tough trivia. Smart lady. Another lawyer…

Thank you.
