“Jonathan Goldsmith famously portrays Dos Equis’ “The Most Interesting Man in the World” character”
or rather, isn’t it PORTRAYED. He was replaced last year by a younger actor (Augustin Legrand), which made news if I recall.
It will be interesting to see if anyone answers “What is XX Beer?” I’ve seen the ads a gazillion times, but I’m not sure I’d trust myself to spell “Equis” correctly (or phonetically) without googling, which is what I did just now. 🙂
When contestants come up with unusual names I just have to laugh, especially when Mr. Clean’s name came up from Kate.
Kathy, I hadn’t noticed the Mr Clean comment until you mentioned it! Thanks for making me laugh with you, but not at the expense of Kate. I was hoping she’d go for longer than she did.
Me too. I liked that she bet everything.
Slight correction; the catchphrase is “…when I do, I prefer Dos Equis”, not “drink Dos Equis”.
I thought of the gortons fisherman with gortons fish sticks, but I knew I wad wrong.
I guessed the Gorton’s Fisherman. Stay thirsty, my friends,,,
Hey, what can I say. I’m an old guy. The guy’s Hemingway’s spitting image. C’mon, Google it. Any answer’s better than nothing at all,,,
