  1. My jeopardy website isn’t updating the final jeo NYT clues or the J!6 questions. Anyone else having this issue?

    • Are you getting there through the Jeopardy! website or via bookmarks? They’ve revamped their pages and some of the links appear to have changed.

  2. Random fact: Dr. Guillotin actually personally opposed the death penalty.

    • Indeed. The method was supposed to be (and probably is) more merciful to the condemned than other gruesome techniques then in use.

      • During my morning research, I found a study about the first few seconds after the guillotine came down that makes me question that “merciful” part slightly. (It was at that point where I decided that I didn’t need to do any more research this morning.)

  3. Lori misspoke when Alex interviewed her on 9/11 show. She stated that at the end of the 1988 baseball season she had date with her future husband at a Dodger-Giant game. She is Dodger fan, he Giants. She said Dodgers won but next day Giants clinched the pennant. This is wrong, Dodgers won the pennant and the World Series in 2988 behind brilliant pitching of Orel Hershiser and miracle home run ny Kirk Gibson!

    • I wonder what life on Earth will be like in 2988? (Yes, I know it was a typo, but I’m still wondering.)

  4. Lori might have been thinking about the previous year, 1987. The Giants won the National League West division in 1987, before losing to the Cardinals in the NLCS that year.
