Something interesting I noted as I compiled another week’s worth of data this morning – for the second straight week, no player from KABC territory (Los Angeles) will play. And that’s not the first time that’s happened this season; no LA-area contestants in either Week 3 or Week 4.
It stands to reason to me that Emma is the SoCal player held over from last week’s shows, as Kara Skinner was in October – both hailing from the San Diego media market. (That is, assuming that the show is holding to its tried-and-true schedule of taping a week’s worth of shows each on two consecutive days in a week – which, in these uncertain times, is by no means a given.)
Matt:
Emma is not the SoCal holdover from last week; instead, she is the SoCal alternate who was selected to play. (This is an even-numbered week).
For what it’s worth as well, the taping schedule has gone as planned (at least to the point that it has matched the ticket schedule and the November 20 taping was confirmed to match my February 3-7 airdate projection by audience members).
