I don’t recall any questions being this narrow: who won a specific award for a specific movie? What’s next? Who is buried in Grant’s tomb?
Was not easy for me. I never heard of the actress or the movie and I imagine there are a couple or three other viewers in the same boat. (My own excuse is that I am old.)
this is one of those questions you can’t ‘work out in your head’. either you know it or you don’t.
And there’s a further connection to the category. The film was originally titled Push because it was adapted from a novel of the same name, by Sapphire. I distinctly remember “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire” being read, in its entirety, in each of the several categories in which the film was nominated at the 82nd Academy Awards.
Happy New Year to everyone as well – and a milestone one at that for The Jeopardy! Fan, as the site marks its tenth anniversary next month!
here’s a perfect example of “how can people not know that?”
2 of the 3 got it right……. and i have not remotely heard of the person mentioned.
before today’s FJ, i’ve found some of the FJ’s simple (like Tic-Tac-Dough simple) but in at least one case the contestants went 1 for 3.
so easy/hard to a large degree is background/age/etc.
not crazy about this FJ…. it has that feel of “you know it or you don’t”. i prefer FJ where everyone has a chance at getting it after working through possibilities
J! timed it well to start 2020 with a 5 day champ…so congratulations to Karen, the second “fiver”- Sam being the other – this season, sitting in spot #4 at this time on the ToC list.
Happy New Year or Hau’oli makahiki hou to everybody! Let’s hope it will be a good one in every aspect.
