Andy’s Thoughts:
- The -255 is the second-lowest Daily Double Efficiency with one player playing all three Daily Doubles in my Daily Double dataset (dating back to October 2004), second only to Peter Guekguezian on June 19, 2017.
- Because it always comes up: The known record for most incorrect responses in a single game is 23, set December 1, 1988.
- Confidence is so important (and underrated); there are situations I’m sure where Priscilla could have been a champion. It just didn’t work out for her today. Props as well to Shanu for getting out of the hole and getting to play Final Jeopardy.
- If you disagree? Contestant tests start January 28. I await hearing your score.

Has there ever been an instance with 2 of the 3 contestants finishing Double Jeopardy in the red? Would the sole remaining contestant still participate in Final Jeopardy?
Kristin Sausville is a famous example. I believe Jeff Richmond did as well at some point.
I know I’m going to *!#& a lot of people off for saying this, but I’m sure others must feel this way too. James was great, but the constant hero worship and “what James would do” speculations and comparisons has gotten really old.
This. So over him.
At the end of FJ!, when Alex walked over to talk to the contestants, the camera caught Priscilla rushing back to her spot at the stand. Unfortunately, the episode ended before Alex reached her. Adding insult to injury.
I felt so sorry for Priscilla! In all the years I’ve watched “Jeopardy!” I’ve never seen anyone so nervous.
I agree. I’ve never seen anyone so nervous on the show. However, in the early stages, she seemed OK and you just know she’s a bright young lady. If you’re reading this, just know, Priscilla, we do indeed “feel your pain.”
