Charleston, South Carolina (1790 population 16,359) was the 4th-most populous city in the United States in the 1790 Census, and by far the South’s most populous, over 4 times as populous as #2 in the South, Richmond, Virginia. (3,761).
Interestingly, of the 10 most populous in 1790, two of them were folded into Philadelphia in the 19th century; Northern Liberties, PA (#6), and Southwark, PA (T-#10).

Congrats, to Makenzie, 8 games that has to be stressful and challenging, Alex does sound hoarse, he has for the past few shows.
James Holzhauer is probably upset with Alex for calling him by his first and last name instead of “Jeopardy James” (when Aaron did that Daily Double push). That’s two days in a row he hasn’t called James by the nickname he used to be in love with.
As Andy pointed out, this week’s games were taped following the GOAT tournament, so Alex knows Ken reclaimed the throne as the greatest player ever and doesn’t want to reverence James in such a way that takes away from Ken’s dominating performance.
We’ll remember MacKenzie and cheer her next in the TOC! If fate has it, may MacKenzie make multiple more spelling mistakes while winning one or more games!
