Overall Thoughts: I think that this is going to play out as an incredibly evenly-matched final. While Lisa has the most “net attempts” (“net attempts” being signalling attempts, less incorrect responses) of our three players, she has the least amount of success on the buzzer, at just 46.9%. Meanwhile, Katie has been 63.3% on the buzzer (per the show’s boxscores), while Mo is somewhere in the middle of both stats (57% on the buzzer over nearly as many attempts as Lisa Ann. If Lisa Ann finds her buzzer timing, though, I think she’ll turn into the favorite. If not, though, I think Mo is a slight favorite, just from the extra experience, but this is one where I think that if you played this matchup 10 times, nobody would win more than four—five if they were lucky.
Regardless of the outcome, though, Katie Nolan definitely has had to face the strongest schedule: each of her games has been against someone who has played Celebrity Jeopardy prior to this season!
One change here compared to the semifinals is that the shorter time needed to finish Only Murders in the Building means that CTV Halifax is, unfortunately, getting the opportunity to take advantage of simultaneous substitution with CBS Boston, much to the chagrin of viewers in Newfoundland, who now have to wait until 9:30 PM local time for the episode to begin.
