Overall Thoughts: Matt is the favorite per the prediction model, but all three of these players have the modern strategy down just about perfectly. This series of games is going to come down to the Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy—and I think any of these players are very capable of a strong Masters performance if they get there.
The Prediction Model Says: Matt 39.419%, Roger 35.134%, Juveria 25.447%.
Finals Length: 2 games: 33.709%, 3 games: 44.462%, 4 games: 21.829%.

This is genuinely the finals matchup of my dreams. And I’m not just saying that because I correctly predicted all three semifinal winners, either!
What do all three of Roger, Matt, and Juveria have in common? Well, first and foremost, incredible knowledge bases, to get that out of the way. But second to that, they are all masters at taking advantage of Daily Doubles – in fact, all three of them were ranked #1 in the field on Daily Doubles going into their respective ToCs. (Juveria basically started carving out a name for herself with a $15,200 True Daily Double and a pair of $10,000 bets in her SCC, Matt was arguably the most successful player to use James Holzhauer’s strategies that is not named James Holzhauer, and Roger, quite frankly, needs no exposition.) Make no mistake – with all three of these players being so good, the finals will definitely be a race to those three big clues every single game.
As for what I think? My gut/brain is leaning slightly towards Matt, and my heart is leaning quite a bit towards Juveria – but no matter what happens, all three finalists are unbelievable players and joys to watch on top of that, and getting to see any of the three of them in Masters (for the third time, in the case of Matt) would be an absolute treat.
In conclusion? These finals are gonna be chaos like we’ve almost never seen… I wonder if I have some popcorn laying around the house?
MasterDoge!
Thanks for your comments from both your gut/brain and your heart!!
Almost feels like Matt is now guaranteed a Masters berth. If he wins, he gets the automatic bid. If he doesn’t win, he’s the most obvious choice for the producer pick. Which is well earned, even though he came in 6th last year he was a finalist in Masters 1 and the only person to beat James that season. Personally, I hope he gets the automatic bid because then figuring out the producer pick gets much more interesting.
