Back when this clue originally played in April, I thought that this was a relatively straightforward Final Jeopardy clue: The South American country of Bolivia is unique amongst Western Hemisphere countries in that it has two capitals—Sucre and La Paz. It also borders Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, and Peru, while its 37 official languages include Spanish, Quechua, and numerous other indigenous languages.
Clearly, I think I was led astray by my own knowledge here—it played at normal difficulty in most Internet polls and, as you’ll see in the recap, did not play 3-for-3 in game.

Game Recap:
While Maja led after 30 clues, Bob came alive in Double Jeopardy, picking up 12 correct in that round. Interestingly, though, Liam put on a strong min-max performance on the Daily Doubles, betting $5 on the one he knew he probably wouldn’t know (he didn’t) and going all in on the one he thought he would (and he did). As it was, Bob’s Double Jeopardy performance gave him a slim lead entering Final Jeopardy.
Final Jeopardy saw the clue play 2-for-3; unfortunately for Bob, he was the one incorrect player, as Liam became a 2-game champion. Next week’s rerun—the first of 2026—sees Liam take on Sara Grady and Kyle Dunn in an attempt to pick up win #3.
Scores going into Final:
Bob $15,200
Liam $12,790
Maja $10,200
Tonight’s results:
Maja $10,200 + $10,100 = $20,300 (What is Brazil Bolivia?)
Liam $12,790 + $7,611 = $20,401 (What is Bolivia?) (2-day total: $52,802)
Bob $15,200 – $10,381 = $4,819 (What is Brazil?)

Game Stats:
Liam $10,600 Coryat, 16 correct, 4 incorrect, 31.58% in first on buzzer (18/57), 0/0 on rebound attempts (on 1 rebound opportunity)
Maja $10,200 Coryat, 14 correct, 1 incorrect, 26.32% in first on buzzer (15/57), 0/0 on rebound attempts (on 3 rebound opportunities)
Bob $15,600 Coryat, 20 correct, 0 incorrect, 29.82% in first on buzzer (17/57), 2/2 on rebound attempts (on 4 rebound opportunities)
Combined Coryat Score: $36,400
Lach Trash: $11,600 (on 9 Triple Stumpers)

Lead Changes: 10
