The Hanna-Barbera animated series The Flintstones, which aired from 1960 to 1966 as the first animated prime time sitcom in the United States and later aired in reruns, licensed their characters to onetime show sponsor Miles Laboratories, known then for One-A-Day vitamins, to create a new product—Flintstones Chewable Vitamins. Flintstones vitamins, multivitamins for children in the shape of characters from the show, are still sold today.
