Quick Recap – September 28, 2015

Welcome back to a new week of recaps here at The Jeopardy! Fan! Our next #JeopardyLivePanel is scheduled for Sunday night, October 3, at 8 PM Eastern! Set your calendars and tune in! Also congratulations to the top 3 in the #TournamentOfPanelists – Arthur Chu, Steve Bahnaman, and Aria Gerson!

Today’s contestants:

Vicki Eastus, a law school professor and administrator from Brooklyn, NY
Jedidiah Smith, a technical writer from Denver, CO
Matt Jackson, a paralegal from Washington, DC (1-day champ, $21,200)

For some reason, the Jeopardy! site is listing Matt’s winnings at $30,000 – but his lectern definitely read $21,200 on Friday!

Scores going into Final Jeopardy!:
Matt $35,000
Vicki $14,200
Jedidiah $2,000

Final Jeopardy! category: ROCK & ROLL

Final Jeopardy! clue: The group Nazareth took its name from the first line of a 1968 song from this other group

Jedediah 2000 + 928 = 2928
Vicki 14200 – 10000 = 4200
Matt 35000 – 5000 = 30000 (2-day champ, $51,200)

Well, it was certainly Matt’s opponents feeling about half-past dead after this game! Will he win #3 tomorrow? Also, thumbs down the J! site for what appears to be a spoiler!

Vicki definitely tried her best even though she broke the DJ! rule on the $2,000 clue in double that letter while Jedidiah really had some difficulty getting on track.
