Looking to find out who won Jeopardy! tonight? Today’s Jeopardy! results will go up on this page late afternoon, with full stats early evening. They will be seen in the comments section at the bottom of this page.

Les Misérables premiered in Paris in 1980, and is the longest-running musical in London’s West End, having run continuously since October 8, 1985 (explaining the “30 years of revolution!” in the clue.)

A win today from Julie will put her onto Page 2 of our Tournament of Champions tracker, though it’s looking more and more like at least 4 wins and $100,000 is going to be necessary to make the field!

    Miscellany:

    • The expected value of a standard lockout wager for Julie (assuming a 20% chance to reach the ToC with a victory) in this situation is $30,320. The expected value of Julie’s actual wager in this situation was $23,338 (assuming rational betting by her opponents).

    The t-shirt that reads ” don’t call me at 7:30 ”
Is so apropos for our house, and I laughed for
at least ten minutes. Thank You

2 days ago Julie got luck. Today her unconventional bet cost her the game. 14.201 would have been the conventional bet and had won her the game in any case. Since Eric bet 2 K less than going all in, even 11.401 would have done it. but you have always to anticipate/fear that the second placed player may go all in.

Too bad we won’t be seeing Julie in the ToC. At least Eric has a good 1 day total to get started.

  4. Don Spencer | March 30, 2017 at 11:54 pm |

I was kind of surprised that Eric bet more than $8,799. A correct answer ($23,599) forces Julie to get a correct answer, but a wrong answer still prevents him from losing to Brook. And, as it turned out, his correct-answer total would’ve still been enough to win because of Julie’s strange bet.

  5. The wagers today were a bit… surprising. Have to wonder if Eric may have noticed Julie’s tendencies watching from the audience before his match. Would be heartbreaking to go into FJ with a lead, get the response correct, and then lose.

I don’t like to judge simply based on appearances, but it’s very possible Eric and I are very close to being contemporaries. Nice to see another competitive appearance by a … seasoned … contestant.
