Did you know that you can now find game-by-game stats of everyone, including Austin Rogers, who has won 10 or more games on Jeopardy!, here on the site?

The FBI memo, dated May 26, 1947, read:

With regards to the picture, It’s a Wonderful Life, stated in substance that the film represented rather obvious attempts to discredit bankers by casting Lionel Barrymore as a ‘scrooge-type’ so that he would be the most hated man in the picture. This, according to these sources, is a common trick used by Communists. In addition, this picture deliberately maligned the upper class, attempting to show wealthy people as mean and despicable characters.

In the short term, this hurt the credibility of the film. But in the 1970s and 1980s, it became known as a feel-good Christmas story, and a holiday staple.

  1. But I believe if we have another 5 time champ before the TOC we will 16 members in the TOC and that would not work obviously.

  2. I really hoped Austin would beat Jennings’ record…good run! I hope he will score highly on Tournament!

Both of my kids nailed FJ… it’s the one movie their father makes them sit down and watch every Christmas, only to see him cry at the end – EVERY SINGLE TIME. 😉

Has anyone mentioned how ToC chaos may be avoided since Austin Cohen goes by Buzzy?

  5. I missed yesterday’s session of Jeopardy. What happened? How did Austin lose? I see he gave the wrong answer, but how much did he earn and how much did he wedger? Will he take part in the tournament? I am very sad.

    • The details of the October 12 game are in the post. He did not give the wrong answer. He lost because he was not leading going into Final Jeopardy and both him and the leader got Final Jeopardy correct. He won $2,000 for second place. He will return for the Tournament of Champions, which begins November 6.
