The 8 countries that border Turkey: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan (with Azerbaijan’s exclave of Nakhchivan), Iran, Iraq, Syria, Greece, and Bulgaria.
Of those, Greece extends the furthest west, and Iran the furthest east. (Prior to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the U.S.S.R would have been the “east” half of this correct response.)

Pretty tough FJ.
Any other day of the year, the FJ category would have been World Geography. Happy Thanksgiving to all Jeopardy fan commenters.
Is it just me or were all 3 wagers strange?? Kiana could have easily won! Jesse got lucky.
Be that as it may: HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU!!!
This was a pretty weak episode from all the players. 17 triple stumpers! All three daily doubles missed. And those wagers… Sheesh!
I’m curious if anyone would have a clue what the record is for most triples in a game?
Hey, Matt:
You think you could do better?

Haha, short answer yes. I’ve taken the test several times. Waiting for that call. I wasn’t trying to sound like a dick. I actually thought Kiana was a good player. Everybody has bad days.
It’s frustrating when someone who plays very well one day can struggle so much the next day. I guess it’s often just because the categories one day are in their wheelhouse (and the next day they’re not).
But I also wonder how much might be due to mental (and/or physical) fatigue – or in this case since all three seemed to struggle, was it post-lunch fatigue (assuming they ate between taping the Wednesday and Thursday games)?
And I also think that the strangeness in the name of the FJ Category may have caused the more conservative wagers on everyone’s part. The clue could have easily been about Turkish dress or cuisine as geography.
Alex did specifically say “geography”, though.
