More information about Final Jeopardy:

The clue is a reference to the Twelve Labors that were given to Heracles over his 12-year service to Eurystheus as penance for Heracles having kiled his wife and children in a fit of madness (a fit brought on by Hera). Those labors included the seventh, capturing the Cretan Bull, the eighth, bringing back the Mares of Diomedes from Thrace, and the final one, capturing Cerberus from the underworld.

Originally, there were ten labors assigned, but there were two that didn’t count in the eyes of Eurystheus: the second (slaying the hydra, as assistance was given to Heracles) and the fifth (cleaning the Augean stables).

  1. Alex, the contestant, is very impressive, but I can’t remember anybody who had a big lead not trying to add to it in the Final. Maybe he just doesn’t want to risk what he accumulated. Anyway, it seems to work for him. He’s piling up the winnings.

  2. There wasn’t a song in yesterday’s game (or maybe the day before). Can anyone help me remember what it was?
