The picture is of “Brig O’ Doon”, a medieval bridge in Ayrshire, Scotland.
(I myself thought it might have been London Bridge and went to “My Fair Lady”. Whoops.)
Of course, Brigadoon is a 1947 musical about a Scottish village that appears for only one day every 100 years.
One of my friends floated a joke idea recently about always saying “MacBeth” in a theatre and referring to Brigadoon as “The Scottish Play”. Hilarious, if you ask me!
