LeVar Burton Gets His Shot As Final Five Guest Hosts Announced

LeVar Burton will get the opportunity to guest host Jeopardy!

Jeopardy!, this afternoon, announced their final five guest hosts: ABC’s “Good Morning America” anchors George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts, actor LeVar Burton, CNBC’s David Faber and Fox Sports’ Joe Buck.

This should make fans very happy, as over 200,000 fans signed a petition asking for Burton to host.

“Our goal has been to present a wide variety of guest hosts with different skill sets and backgrounds on our path to finding a permanent host,” Jeopardy! Executive Producer Mike Richards said on the show’s website. “Our passionate fans are telling us what they like, and we are listening. All of the guest hosts have brought individualism, energy and an authentic love of our show to each of their episodes. We look forward to sharing the rest of the season with our viewers.”

Burton’s episodes will air July 26-30, 2021.

  1. Interesting that the last set only appears to get one week each.

  2. Well, we did it. LeVar finally gets his chance. Hyped for him.

  3. Notice how the fine print says “FINAL five guest hosts”…that sounds like a permanent replacement will be determined by the start of Season 38 in mid-September.

    • Clarification…By the time the Season premier airs in mid-September, those episodes have already been “in the can” for 2-3 months. My guess is the replacement will be chosen in the next 30-60 days, and there will be at least a 2 week hosting boot camp to refine the host for this amazing job.

  4. Joe Buck??!! Mmmmkay. Glad LeVar Burton is getting a go. I also think Anderson Cooper is doing a really good job.
