Warning: This page contains spoilers for the March 24, 2025, game of Jeopardy! — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. Please note that the game airs as early as noon Eastern in some U.S. television markets.

Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Acting Families) for Monday, March 24, 2025 (Season 41, Game 141):

After leaving a religious group, John & Arlyn Bottom changed their family’s last name to this, to signify a rebirth

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Geraldine Rodriguez, an interlibrary loan assistant coordinator from Boca Raton, Florida
Geraldine Rodriguez on Jeopardy!
Mustafa Hameed, an attorney from Los Angeles, California
Mustafa Hameed on Jeopardy!
Josh Weikert, a politics professor from Collegeville, Pennsylvania (1-day total: $23,601)
Josh Weikert on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Pennsylvania’s Josh Weikert comes into this week’s set of games as your returning champion; today’s challengers include L.A.’s Mustafa Hameed and Florida’s Geraldine Rodriguez. Assuming the postseason format doesn’t change for next year, Josh—currently sitting 10th in the postseason standings with still 155 regular-play games to go—will need a good-sized victory today to have a chance at returning for Champions Wildcard.

The airing schedule is back to normal today through Wednesday; more March Madness coverage in prime time later this week will lead to some schedule changes Thursday and Friday (but fewer than this past week).

Game Recap & Tonight’s Game Stats:

Looking to find out who won Jeopardy! today? Here’s the Monday, March 24, 2025 Jeopardy! by the numbers, along with a recap:

Jeopardy! Round:

(Categories: TV Sleuthing; The Late 1940s; A Site For More Eyes; 10-Letter Words; Cybersecurity; Also A Musical Instrument)

Despite four stand-and-stare Triple Stumpers, Josh had a good start to the game, jumping out to an early lead. After 15 clues, the scores were Josh $5,800 Geraldine $1,000 Mustafa $800.

Statistics at the first break (15 clues):

Josh 8 correct 0 incorrect
Geraldine 2 correct 0 incorrect
Mustafa 1 correct 0 incorrect

Today’s interviews:

Geraldine has been aboard the Goodyear Blimp.
Mustafa is a huge cricket fan.
Josh is a beer judge.

Mustafa ran the CYBERSECURITY category to pull close, but Josh still led after 30.

Statistics after the Jeopardy round:

Josh 11 correct 2 incorrect
Mustafa 11 correct 0 incorrect
Geraldine 4 correct 0 incorrect

Scores after the Jeopardy! Round:

Josh $6,800
Mustafa $5,200
Geraldine $2,200

Double Jeopardy! Round:

(Categories: Abbrev.; Bills Of Mortality For 17th C. London; Twin “C”s; American Poetry; The Arctic; Johnny On The Axe)

Geraldine went for the lead early, but fell back to $0 after a Daily Double miss. Mustafa briefly took the lead shortly thereafter, but Josh found DD3 shortly after retaking it. His correct response ensured he led going into Final; it was looking like a potential runaway, but a score reversal in Mustafa’s favor meant that things were much closer going into Final Jeopardy.

Statistics after Double Jeopardy:

Josh 23 correct 2 incorrect
Mustafa 22 correct 0 incorrect
Geraldine 7 correct 2 incorrect
Total number of unplayed clues this season: 30 (0 today).

Scores going into Final:

Josh $21,800
Mustafa $17,200
Geraldine $3,200

Geraldine was the only player correct in Final, which should have been advantage Mustafa. But he went for the nice round number of $10,000 instead of opting for something strategic—which makes Josh a 2-day champion! He’ll be back for win #3 tomorrow.

Tonight’s results:

Geraldine $3,200 + $3,200 = $6,400 (What is Phoenix?)
Mustafa $17,200 – $10,000 = $7,200 (What is Barrymore?)
Josh $21,800 – $12,601 = $9,199 (What is Newman?) (2-day total: $32,800)

Josh Weikert, today's Jeopardy! winner (for the March 24, 2025 game.)

Andy’s Thoughts:

  • A reminder that to go from an incorrect response (originally a minus) to a correct one (now a plus), a contestant needs to be credited twice the value of the clue.
  • To the viewers mad about the overturning: the standards that the show uses to overturn an incorrect response such as this are that reputable sources need to have used the term; and, in this case, that exists—because a successful protest that returns contestants to the show could be launched based on those sources.
  • To the people who want me to just cover the US version and are mad that I have the gall to cover the UK version as well: Respectfully, go pound sand.
  • Today’s box score will be linked to when posted by the show.

Final Jeopardy! wagering suggestions:

(Scores: Josh $21,800 Mustafa $17,200 Geraldine $3,200)

Josh: Standard cover bet is $12,601. (Actual bet: $12,601)

Mustafa: If Josh bets to cover and is incorrect, he falls to $9,199. Bet no more than $8,000. (Actual bet: $10,000)

Geraldine: You need a pair of big overbets to have a chance. Bet whatever you like. (Actual bet: $3,200)

  1. I have what may be a dumb question. In the Double Jeopardy round this came up as the $1,200 clue in “The Arctic”: <<With a name meaning “Top of the World, Quttinirpaaq National Park, is an Arctic landscape in this easternmost Canadian Territory. What is Nunavut was the response given by the champ, and it was accepted as a correct answer. I thought Nunavut was the Northernmost territory, and Newfoundland and Labrador was the Easternmost. So I do get that the national park is in Nunavut, but was the clue incorrect in saying that it was in the easternmost territory?

Just jumping across from the Jeopardy! UK posts to add my gratitude to Andy for covering the British episodes, and I’m sorry that you’re getting hassled about this. None of their business, I say. As a Brit whose association with Jeopardy! Is that I used to see it when living in the States in the 1980s and remember it fondly, I am really enjoying the British show. Its ratings are down this year but I do hope it can succeed and keep going. I think that the fact this site is covering the British show adds credibility to the British version and is helping the show.

I can’t comment on the episode mentioned here except to say that I wouldn’t have got FJ and that I am sorry to read about Mustafa’s over-wager. Even without seeing the episode, I feel a kinship with him after finding that he is a big cricket fan!
