Weekend Jeopardy! Recap – October 11 & 12, 2025

Warning: This page contains spoilers for the October 11-12, 2025, game of Jeopardy! — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. Please note that today’s game is an encore presentation of the game that originally aired on April 4, 2025.

Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category The Nobel Prizes) for October 11-12, 2025 (Season 41, Game 150):

Only one man & one woman have won Nobel Prizes in 2 different categories, with this category in common

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Mike Dawson, a technology manager from Portland, Oregon
Mike Dawson on Jeopardy!
Guy Branum, a writer & comedian from West Hollywood, California
Guy Branum on Jeopardy!
Bryce Wargin, a post market surveillance coordinator from Kansas City, Missouri (4-day total: $70,199)
Bryce Wargin on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

This weekend’s rerun features Bryce Wargin’s attempt to win his fifth game of Jeopardy!; at the time of original airing, there had been 283 5-time champions. This game featured Mike Dawson and Guy Branum in an attempt to unseat Bryce.

Guy Branum is one of many minor celebrities who have made it onto civilian Jeopardy!; back during the original airing, I made mention of Chub Feeney’s appearance in Season 2, when Feeney was actively serving as President of MLB’s National League.

I had to laugh when I saw the Final Jeopardy category for the weekend rerun. Considering the show is at a specific point where the shows began running from a specific spot a few weeks ago, I have to say that it was entirely coincidental that this category showed up the same week that the Nobel Prizes were being awarded, even moreso that it now gives every amateur comedian on the planet the opportunity to mock the American president’s fruitless campaign to receive one.

Back to this specific clue at large, the two people with Nobel Prizes in different categories are Linus Pauling (Peace and Chemistry) and Marie Curie (Physics and Chemistry.)

Note: If you’d like to see the full statistics from this game, check out the original recap, from April 4, 2025.

Game Recap:

Interestingly, Bryce never led in this one—Mike picked up the opening clue and Guy held the lead for most of the second half of the opening round after finding the Daily Double. That didn’t mean Bryce didn’t have his opportunities, though—he attempted a True Daily Double when he found DD2, but an incorrect response just about ended his title aspirations. While Bryce did find DD3, he was only able to get the “table maximum” of $2,000; Mike picked up 10 correct in the round to have a good-sized lead headed into Final Jeopardy. When Mike and Guy were both correct in Final, Mike became your new Jeopardy! champion.

Next weekend’s recap will feature Mike Dawson’s first title defense against Taylor Mattox and Erin Li.

Scores going into Final:

Mike $15,000
Guy $10,800
Bryce $5,600

Tonight’s results:

Bryce $5,600 – $5,599 = $1 (What is physics)
Guy $10,800 + $4,201 = $15,001 (What is Chemistry?)
Mike $15,000 + $6,601 = $21,601 (What is chemistry?) (1-day total: $21,601)

Mike Dawson, today's Jeopardy! winner (for the April 4, 2025 game.)
