Miss yesterday? Wondering why Alex is staying at his lectern? Or are you wondering why Alex Trebek has a cane?

Three days until Christmas – is your shopping done? (I finished mine today!)

Today’s contestants:

Ted Johnson, a job-seeker from Shoreview, MN
Theresa Tejada, a project coordinator from Allen Park, MI
Liz Quesnelle, a retail store owner from Pittsburgh, PA

Scores going into Final Jeopardy:
Theresa 17800
Liz 14000
Ted 12200

Final Jeopardy! category: THE ANCIENT WORLD

Final Jeopardy! clue: Dedicated to a female, it’s among the few of the 7 ancient wonders whose ruins you can visit

Click/Tap Here for Correct Response

What is the Temple of Artemis (at Ephesus)?

Ted 12200 – 12200 = 0 (the Parthenon)
Liz 14000 – 14000 = 0 (the temple of Athena)
Theresa 17800 + 3799 = 21599

I’m going to ask Mark Barrett to include “Parthenon” in his J!Board Final Jeopardy poll for sure.

  1. Parthenon dedicated to Athena, intact enough (ruins?) to visit. Temple of Artemis does not exist (you can “visit” the foundation blocks? those are not ruins ). Really? This is wrong.

    • Well, there are ruins there at the temple of Artemis – plus, the Parthenon wasn’t one of the seven ancient wonders.

  2. Oh, now I feel silly. Thank you for the correction; I should have known it wasn’t as obvious as I thought it was.

  3. When they went back and awarded Ted for his answer isn’t it true they awarded him $2000 instead of the $1000 he was supposed to get ?

    • Erica:

Remember that Ted originally lost $1,000 for his incorrect response, so they had to give him that money back prior to giving him the $1,000 that he should have had for his correct response. This is standard practice for the show.
