Jeopardy Encore Presentation Recap – August 12, 2016

This is the second game of a two-day final!

This game originally aired on November 20, 2015.

Today’s contestants:

Kerry Greene, a volunteer CASA guardian ad litem from Manchester, NH (yesterday’s total: $3,400)
Alex Jacob, a currency trader from Chicago, IL (yesterday’s total: $29,600)
Matt Jackson, a paralegal from Washington, DC (yesterday’s total: $3,000)

Kaya Chua was in the audience for the semifinals and finals; she provided her thoughts back in November to The Jeopardy! Fan.

Well, this one was decided on the 8th clue of Double Jeopardy; Matt did what he had to, sending $10,000 at a Daily Double. Unfortunately, he missed, and found himself playing for second — which he barely eked out from Kerry (by the margin of a single clue).

Final Jeopardy! category: PHILOSOPHERS

Final Jeopardy! clue: His last name means a type of burial place & in 1855 that’s where he went

I was so disappointed that a football game stole Jeopardy’s spot on Friday August 12th! I was all ready to watch the 2nd day of the tournament. Glad to see that Matt won by a landslide.

Was unable to see a recap of the Friday game unless I join AMazon something or other. Not into that, but at least I found our HERE who won. Wish I hadn’t missed the final.

Sounds like your local broadcast was pre-empted. You should express your displeasure with your local television station that airs Jeopardy. The more they hear from viewers, the less likely they may be to pre-empt the show in the future.

I have no idea what this “Amazon” thing is but it sounds like you may have been hunting down some sort of less-than-legal web stream. Those do bad things to your computer. I wouldn’t even bother trying to hunt for them.
