More information about Final Jeopardy:
Author E. B. White bought the farm in Brooklin, Maine in 1933 and lived there until his 1985 death. When it was put on the market in August 2017, the rope swing made famous in the book was still hanging from the doorway of the barn.
News stories about the sale only mention that it was put up for sale; I was unable to find any evidence of it actually having been sold.

Andy, I was curious as well to see if it ever sold, so I did a little searching for recent home sales in Brooklin, Maine. According to https://www.estately.com/listings/info/511-bay-road (and at least one other site) it sold on Oct 11, 2017 for $3.69 million, which was close to the asking price of $3.7M. I wonder how many comparable properties there are in the area. 🙂
Thank you, Art!
Underneath ”Scores going into Final:”, you left out the 1st ”E” in Catherine’s name.
Thank you for the correction!
Where in Brooklin? My family had a summer home there from 1946 to 1953 to get away from the oppressive summer heat of Long Island. It was the most modern, owned by a doctor, and had a trail through the woods to Herrick Bay, where we had a rowboat. When the tide went out there was just mud flats with lots of clams. In October 1947 we witnessed the Bar Harbor fire from our top floor. I went to a two-room schoolhouse that year because my brother was born in July.
I think Art mentioned that the property was 511 Bay Road?
I can’t believe Catherine had the same score 2 days in a row $23201.. talk about being consistent!!
This may not be the right place for this, but as a fan of the game and the contestants, I do pay attention to what they’re wearing. Can ANYONE tell me where Catherine got her shirt? Or is it part of a dress? I’d love to have the same garment! Thanks!
Did no one notice Catherine said Patrick swayzie and not who is Patrick swayzie?
1) Her phrasing was clipped because it was speaking over Alex.
2) Even if it didn’t happen, in the Jeopardy! round, a lack of phrasing is a warning offense, not a penalty.
