Correct response: What are X-rays?

Did you know that you can now find game-by-game stats of everyone, including James, who has won 10 or more games on Jeopardy!, here on the site?

More information about Final Jeopardy:

The letter “X” in the NATO phonetic alphabet is “Xray”; X-rays were discovered by Wilhelm Röntgen in 1895. As they were unknown at the time, Röntgen called them “X”; the name stuck, though they are called Röntgen rays in many languages.

The radiological and medical applications were almost immediately realized when Röntgen took X-rays of his wife’s hand. Röntgen won the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 for the discovery.

Since Alex Trebek’s diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer, many community members have been raising money. The Jeopardy! Fan Online Store is as well! All proceeds from any “Keep The Faith And We’ll Win” shirt sold will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. To date, over $370 has been raised.)
