Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Super Bowl History) for April 25-26, 2026 (Season 41, Game 74):

It’s the only team to play in the Super Bowl before Neil Armstrong’s moon walk that has not been back to the Big Game since

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Laura Faddah, a manager from Memphis, Tennessee
Laura Faddah on Jeopardy!
Neal Bowling, a journeyman lineman from Mackinaw, Illinois
Neal Bowling on Jeopardy!
Eric Weldon-Schilling, a bar manager & sommelier from Houston, Texas (1-day total: $21,000)
Eric Weldon-Schilling on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Our weekend encore presentation this week sees the beginning of Laura Faddah’s run on the show; she takes on defending champion Eric Weldon-Schilling, as well as fellow challenger Neal Bowling.

For those who pay attention to such things, it’s an interesting look at how Laura managed to win all the games she did—and a good reminder that the winner of a game of Jeopardy! is the person who ends the game with the most money, no matter how that winner manages to do so.

Correct response: Who are the New York Jets?

As the NFL draft finishes up this weekend, it’s refreshing to see the New York Jets catching some strays as a Bills fan myself. But yes, this fact is in fact true: the New York Jets’ last Super Bowl appearance came in January 1969—six months and eight days before Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. In that game (Super Bowl III), Joe Namath famously led the Jets to a 16-7 upset victory over the Baltimore Colts.

I did mention when this originally played that “sports categories in Final often see players take the category more into account when setting their wagering sizes”, and we definitely saw that play out when this game first aired.

Game Recap:

This was an incredibly interesting game that I think a lot of people may have forgotten about in terms of the overall “history” of last season. Laura Faddah jumped into the lead as a result of a strong second segment of the game, while Neil and Eric found the Daily Doubles in Double Jeopardy. Neal pulled himself into a slim lead with three clues to play, but one of those clues was the Daily Double—which Eric got correct to pull quite close to the lead. From there, Neal got the last clue incorrect, rebounded by Laura, to give Laura a $3,600 lead entering Final.

As I mentioned above, the bet sizing proved to be crucial in today’s Final Jeopardy, as Final turned out to be a Triple Stumper. While Laura would have won anyway had she made the cover bet, she did make a smaller wager here of just $2,400, going on to take victory with $11,200.

Next week’s weekend encore presentation will feature Laura going for win #2 against Joe Asaminew and Maria Lauro.

Scores going into Final:

Laura $13,600
Eric $10,000
Neal $9,800

Tonight’s results:

Neal $9,800 – $7,000 = $2,800 (What is the Cleveland Browns?)
Eric $10,000 – $10,000 = $0 (What is giants?)
Laura $13,600 – $2,400 = $11,200 (What is Houston?) (1-day total: $11,200)

Laura Faddah, today's Jeopardy! winner (for the April 25-26, 2026 game.)

Game Stats:

Laura $13,600 Coryat, 15 correct, 0 incorrect, 22.81% in first on buzzer (13/57), 2/2 on rebound attempts (on 7 rebound opportunities)
Neal $9,000 Coryat, 14 correct, 4 incorrect, 26.32% in first on buzzer (15/57), 0/1 on rebound attempts (on 5 rebound opportunities)
Eric $7,000 Coryat, 14 correct, 5 incorrect, 31.58% in first on buzzer (18/57), 0/0 on rebound attempts (on 2 rebound opportunities)
Combined Coryat Score: $29,600
