In the lead-up to the 33rd Tournament of Champions, Jeopardy! aired its Jeopardy! Honors for the fourth time. Much like the past incarnations, this was taped the night before the Tournament of Champions; the awards were aired earlier today on YouTube. For the second consecutive year, the Jeopardy! set played host to the ceremony.
Awards were given out in a number of different categories; they’re being listed here in order of presentation on the YouTube broadcast.
Best Celebration: Liam Starnes
The shocked reaction of Liam Starnes winning his fourth game on April 23 was enough to win this year’s award for Best Celebration.
Best Signature: Paolo Pasco
For his creativity in having to sign his name 8 different times, including making a face out of the OLO in his name, Paolo Pasco won Best Signature.
Style Award: Michelle Tsai
Becoming incredibly well-known for hand-knitting the sweaters that she wore on the Alex Trebek Stage, Michelle Tsai took home this year’s Style Award.
Best Interview: Harvey Silikovitz
In his interview on March 10 where he spoke about continuing to chase his dream of getting on the show despite a 2019 diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease, Harvey Silikovitz was given the award for Best Interview. He was also surprised with a special message from Michael J. Fox as well.
Best Game: Ryan Sharpe, Vickie Talvola, Cameron Berry
For the second year in a row, a Champions Wildcard semifinal won Best Game. The tournament’s first semifinal between Ryan Sharpe, Vickie Talvola, and Cameron Berry on January 12 saw zero incorrect responses in the main game, a pair of very large True Daily Doubles, and then a singleton get from Cameron in Final Jeopardy to put him in the finals.

Only now I realized that one of Michelle’s sweaters (on the Jan. 6 game) had the “einstein” (aperiodic monotile) pattern.
